Professor Rym Ayadi contributed to the session on inclusive growth at the C20 Summit in Turkey on 15-16 September in preparation to the G20 meeting in November 2015.

Prof. Ayadi emphasized the role of cooperatives for economic resilience and inclusive growth in the years to come. She suggested that promoting cooperative economic systems can be the response to implement a rights-based approach while continuing to reinforce a transparent market-based approach. On the role of financial systems post great financial crisis, Prof. Ayadi reminded the role of independent monitoring of business models of financial players, effective regulation and supervision and market discipline. She reiterated the role of cooperatives and cooperation in finance to achieve inclusive and participative growth and development.
