The Founder and President of EMEA, Prof. Rym Ayadi, Professor at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London and CEPS Senior Advisor, delivered the welcome keynote “Building resilient and sustainable Mediterranean territories: An integrated approach” at the opening of the 2nd Gathering of the Green Living Areas Thematic Community.
The event took place on 28–29 May 2025, co-hosted by the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), together with MedCities and the partners of the Interreg Euro-MED Green Living Areas Mission, at the Sant Pau Recinte Modernista in Barcelona, where the EMEA headquarters are located. Bringing together representatives from all 24 thematic projects, governance actors, and policy-makers, the event marked a key milestone for the GLA Mission.
