A new discussion paper by Dr. Harris Eyre, Senior Fellow at Rice University and The University of Texas Medical Branch and Advisor to EMEA, co-authored with Prof. Rym Ayadi, President and Founder of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA and co-founder of the Brain Capital Alliance and the Brain Economy Hub, sets out the foundations for a Brain Economy Decade (2030–2040).
Drawing on insights from COP30 Brazil – including EMEA’s own session on bridging brain and nature capital – the paper highlights why cognitive resilience, mental health, and brain-compatible environments must become central to future climate, health, and economic frameworks. It presents emerging tools, coalitions, and policy pathways shaping this next global cycle.
