The President of EMEA, Prof. Rym Ayadi, was one do the speakers of a high-level side event at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, during the Summit of the Future at the UN Headquarters in New York. The Summit was organised by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) in collaboration with the PAM Centre for Global Studies and in partnership with the United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), the Permanent Mission of Morocco, and the Permanent Mission of Italy in New York.

The event titled “Parliamentary Support in Re-Establishing Trust and Reputation in Multilateral Governance” focused on two key themes: the role of parliaments in restoring trust and reputation in global governance, and the development of the nexus between parliamentary principles and emerging technologies.
