Professor Rym Ayadi, chaired a session about size, systemicness and business models in EU banking at the European Banking Authority (EBA) high-level workshop on the application of the principle of proportionality in the context of Institutional and Regulatory Reforms, held on 03 July 2015 in London. Professor Ayadi introduced the importance of institutional diversity in the European banking sector and emphasized the essential need to do more scientific and policy research on the business models in EU banking and its role in micro and macro-prudential regulation and supervision. She also urged to understand more the role of stakeholders’ banks in maintaining financial stability and economic growth.
